Caythorpe Crowned Champs

The comedy of errors continued at the League Presentation. The Caythorpe Boys feared their own points deduction for turning up without tickets. And it was less loaves and fishes, and more sausage rolls and apple pie, as we shared our gourmet feast with our good friends.

Kingy had the cream (from his pie) literally wiped from his chops as the MC confirmed that two trophies wouldn't be presented on the evening - they were still sitting on Kingy's mantlepiece - unreturned from the previous season!!

The boys were poised to come-on-down from the balcony as we reached the Division L presentation. Only for the MC to say that the cups wouldn't be presented after all - they would have to wait for the AGM in March!

Kingy was lost for words, well apart from asking the League Committee for a contribution to his £30 taxi fare. Meanwhile Ted was delighted that at least we could rely on someone to pick up our new balls at the AGM.

In true Keyworth spirit it was left to Boom Boom to congratulate Jonesey and Kingy as well deserved winners.
